Many people I know find painting with watercolours pretty daunting. I completely get it. It's unforgiving if you haven't got a plan and feels backwards if you're used to any other kind of painting. Once you give it a chance though, you will find it can offer a lot of flexibility of its own. For one thing, it's extremely portable! It also can be a kind of co-creator, doing its own thing as you do yours. I always go in with a plan, but I never expect to stick to the plan. Some accidents are happy! I tried making a video but it wouldn't upload...sigh. So I've posted below some stills from the video that show my work in progress.

It's spring and little prints have started to pop up in my studio! I've been testing my prints on Strathmore textured watercolour paper and the results have been better than I expected! I really wanted to have prints that felt the same as my watercolour originals and I think the texture gives them the natural feeling I was hoping for. This first small batch of prints highlights West Coast landscapes. Use the coupon code print2018 to get 10% off all prints!
